About B J'S Babes Porcelain Doll Studio

Hi! My name is June Larsen. I fell in love with porcelain dollmaking about 35 years ago. Outside of dolls for gifts and an occasional craft show, I didn't do much with this art.
Knowing my husband would soon be taking over the running of our family business my interest once again was rekindled.
I attended D.A.G. seminars and became a Certified Products Teacher. I soon decided to put this training into practice and in May 1997 I opened a Seeley Doll Studio.
My education didn't stop there. I received my Master Doll Maker title in Modern dolls at the D.A.G. Convention in Atlanta Ga. in July 1998. And in Orlando at the 2000 convention I received my Grand Master of Doll Makers title in Modern dolls and a qualifying ribbon for my Master Doll Maker title in Classic dolls. In March 2001 at the Festival in San Jose I received my Master title in Classic dolls. In November of 2002 I received training and an Appointment as a Certified Doll Artisan Guild Teacher and now teach the entry level D.A.G. seminars.

In March 2007 I closed my storefront and have moved my business home. My goal is to be able to keep having classes and seminars and promote porcelain doll making as much as possible.
Porcelain doll making has taken a downward turn in the last few years and the way to turn that around is to let more people know about porcelain doll making and to encourage doll makers who have had life get in their way to return to dollmaking. I plan to keep attending D.A.G. seminars and learn all I can about porcelain dollmaking. Then I'll have more to pass onto other dollmakers.
